When CBSA verifies your imports
CBSA runs trade verifications on tariff classification, value for duty and origin, often focusing on particular products. If you receive a verification letter or a request for information:
- We read the request with you and explain what CBSA is asking for
- We gather the invoices, contracts, product details and proof of origin needed
- We prepare the response and deal with the CBSA officer for you
- If CBSA decides against you, we explain the options for asking for a review
Compliance review
We look at a sample of your recent entries: HS codes, values, origin claims and permits. You get a short report of what is right, what needs correcting and how to fix it. Correcting errors yourself before CBSA finds them usually costs much less.
